The absolute highlight is beyond dispute. DOMNIQ, the Dutch percussionist Dominique Vleeshouwers (32), blazes through Daníel Bjarnason’s apocalyptic Inferno like the devil on percussion. Technique and fiery playing fuse together. Bjarnason is clever: just like Dante, he describes the afterlife, but in reverse—starting in heaven and ending in hell. Naturally, that’s where the tension and action are!
