Philip Glass in Concert

Philip Glass in Concert

The DOMNIQ Group presents a new interpretation of Aguas da Amazonia by Philip Glass.

This 60-minute piece, originally composed in 1999 for the Brazilian ensemble Uakti, is revisited by the DOMNIQ Group with a brand-new transcription in collaboration with Philip Glass.

Led by Dutch music prize winner DOMNIQ (Dominique Vleeshouwers), the core ensemble consists of three percussionists, a keyboard player, and two flutists. They collaborate with international guest soloists: Korean Daegum players, Brazilian drummers, Malian Balaphone artists, and Indian tabla virtuosos. Through Philip Glass’s composition, the DOMNIQ Group unites a global ensemble, blending newly crafted instruments, a wide range of percussion, synthesizers, and traditional instruments from various cultures.
